EURIMAGES: European Cinema Support Fund
Eurimages’ first objective is cultural, in that it endeavours to support works which reflect the multiple facets of a European society whose common roots are evidence of a single culture.
The second one is economic, in that the Fund invests in an industry which, while concerned with commercial success, is interested in demonstrating that cinema is one of the arts and should be treated as such.
Bearing this in mind, Eurimages has developed four funding programmes:
- Assistance for co-production;
- Assistance for distribution;
- Assistance to cinemas;
- Assistance to digitisation of theatres which are members of the Eurimages network
Since 2009, there are 4 deadlines each year for co-production, distribution and digitisation support.
Requests for support should be submitted using the official Application Form (co-production, distribution, and digitisation), accompanied by the requested documentation.
To be taken into consideration for the subsequent meeting of the Board of Management,
all material must be received in the offices of the Executive Director, no later than the official deadline published by the Secretariat.
Call for projects deadlines: at the date of submission of the support application, 50% of the financing must be confirmed for each co-producing country
